Music Monday - Miley Cyrus: Lilac Wine
Start your day and start your week with a positive message. Move, groove, and let a positive beat lift you up and get you in a good head space for a good week.
This week is a beautiful one that reminds me of my maternal grandmother who was born on August 18, 1923. The song is called Lilac Wine, and my grandma always took me to the Lilac Festival in Calgary, Alberta. She also enjoyed a few cold beers and a good NHL, CFL, or NFL game. For me this little song which was also famously covered by Nina Simone personifies the joy of summer fun, summer flowers, and summer indulgence. My summer indulgences don't include getting "heady" on any kind of wine, but I do tend to indulge in good books, long afternoons in the sun reading them, and buying all the well-marketed fancy juices from Whole Foods I can get my hands on.
What does this song bring up for you? Is there a flower or song that reminds you of your grandma? I'd love to hear how it resonated with you in the comments below. If you have a song you'd like featured on Music Mondays send me the link on my contact page.
I'll be posting Music Mondays to the Facebook Group: Highly Sensitive Women Thriving and to my Facebook Page: Talia Camozzi If you want to start your week with some feel good music (and if you're reading this I have a hunch you do) then do make sure to like my page and/or join the group.
